FOUNDATIONS

 

Everyone interested in CrossFit or Strength Training starts here or with Personal Training.  Our 3-week beginners program (9 group sessions or 6 Personal Training sessions) introduces the techniques needed to perform exercises safely, efficiently, and with confidence.  For those who have some experience lifting, the classes provide an updated model for performing lifts in the most effective way possible.

CROSSFIT

CrossFit is constantly varied, functional movement, performed at relatively high intensity.  The level of intensity depends on the individual, with coaches guiding each client to an appropriate degree for his or her level of athleticism.  CrossFit blends weightlifting, gymnastic conditioning, and endurance to build general physical preparedness.  Offering a new workout every day, these classes are great for losing weight, gaining strength ("toning"), core strength, flexibility, meeting new people and getting FIT! 

Classes last 1 hour.  Foundations classes must be completed for beginners to join.

STRENGTH TRAINING

Strength is the basis of all human movement.  It's importance cannot be overstated for the athlete, the elderly, or those trying to lose weight and be healthy overall.  We offer the most effective strength program on the market today; it's safety and efficiency are second to none, and we provide the programming as well as the coaching.

PERSONAL TRAINING

 

Busy?  Need a flexible schedule and accountability?  It's all about you and a rapid advancement towards your health and fitness objectives, with a program dedicated and focused on achieving those goals, no matter what they are, from burning body fat, to life coaching, to athletic conditioning, to improving the overall quality of your life.  Let coaches Brian, Katie, Karli, Junko or Emily assess your goals and guide your progress. 

1-on-2 or SMALL GROUP TRAINING is also available for those with similar goals.

NUTRITION

 

You can't out-train a bad diet.

Many people know (and feel!) this, yet there are seemingly many contradicting bits and pieces of advice in every magazine and online article that mentions nutrition.  Is Keto/Paleo/Atkins/Ideal Protein/etc. good for me or going to make my liver implode?? Keep calm and read on.

SENIOR STRENGTH CLUB

 

Balance.  Strength.  Mobility. 

This is the class that makes you the "fun" grandparent who can keep up with the grandkids.  Improve bone and joint health and stability as coaches help you safely build the core strength that controls balance.  Less creaking in the morning, more energy to be active and live the life that you WANT to live!

Safe, effective, FUN!  Ages 55+.

CROSSFIT KIDS

 

Kids have energy, and lots of it.  Coaches guide kids through a new, fun and high-energy workout every day, designed to compliment the important changes occuring in children's bodies, maximizing their potential for physical and mental growth later in life.  Classes end with a game each day, teaching teamwork and associating fitness with FUN!

Ages 6-12.

YOGA with EN

 

Dr. En Mao brings yoga to CrossFit Houma!  Getting core strength AND flexibility has never been so enjoyable.  Beginners to yoga will love the welcoming style, and those accustomed to yoga enjoy the responsive instruction and fun atmosphere.  NON-MEMBERS welcome.
