True fitness cannot be achieved without exercise and healthy nutrition.  Ask us about the Zone and Paleo diets, and check out these excellent health resources:

Not your average health club, CrossFit Houma provides a new workout EVERY DAY for its clients, each led by owners/certified trainers Brian and Junko Ellender.  We offer group personal training in a fun, non-intimidating atmosphere.

We teach Olympic weightlifting, gymnastic conditioning and metabolic conditioning (cardio) to our clients, and have them perform these exercises in a randomized "pattern," which enables your body to make efficient gains without plateauing or introducing the damage often done to the joints/body by repetitive movements.

Ladies, you know all about the importance of weightlifting- let us show you the technique and help you get started - it DOES NOT MATTER if you've been out of the gym for one month, 10 years or have never been in one: we are here to help you reach your fitness goals.

World-Class Fitness in 100 Words:
■ Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds,
some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep
intake to levels that will support exercise but
  not body fat.
■ Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean,
squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly,
master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups,
dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses
  tohandstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and
  holds.
Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast.
■ Five or six days per week mix these elements
in as many combinations and patterns
as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy.
  Keep workouts short and intense.
■ Regularly learn and play new sports.
